Hypnosis 101
By admin | September 18, 2007
Hypnosis is a psychological condition that allows a person to show different behaviors or allows a person to do deep thinking. Some my feel like they are in an state of consciousness and a level of suggestibility is allowed. However, not everyone can go that deeply under hypnosis to allow suggestions to be placed in their mind. Many of the times hypnosis is done to help a person remember something, rather than suggest something.
There are many methods of hypnosis. Though many are familiar with the watch swinging as a psychologist talks, that is only one way. The idea is to get the subject focused on somethings. Sometimes that is a light, sometimes it is a space, and sometimes it is imagined with the eyes closed. True hypnosis comes from the ability of the hypnotist to be able to get the mind focused and relaxed to a point where suggestions can be made. So as you can see, hypnosis can be achieved in a number of ways.
